Therefore, this information page has been provided to clarify BOWIN's position. WHAT IS ALL THE FUSS ABOUT? The TV program, Today Tonight, depicted another brand (NOT BOWIN) being tested during its program emitting Nitrogen Dioxide levels higher than the World Health Organisation Guideline (WHO). WHAT THE AUSTRALIAN STANDARD SAYS As the law currently stands, unflued gas heaters with an emission level up to 5ng/J are permitted for sale in all Australian States and Territories. An emission of 5ng/J 'translates' to a Nitrogen Dioxide (NO 2) concentration of around 300 parts per billion (ppb).

WHAT THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANISATION (WHO) SAYS For people who have pre-existing respiratory conditions (i.e asthma) there is some evidence to suggest small effects in the pulmonary (lung) function of asthmatics at or above 200 - 300 ppb. Healthy people are unlikely to be affected at these levels but may be affected at levels at or above 1000 ppb. On this basis, a guideline of 110 ppb was established. ARE BOWIN HEATERS SAFE? All BOWIN gas flueless appliances have been designed to meet stringent World Health Organisation Guidelines on safe concentration levels of pollutants, for Nitrogen Dioxide this is set at 110 ppb. In the case of the BOWIN SLE, the most popular model in the BOWIN range, it is the world's cleanest heater and emits around 1.2 ng/J of Nitrogen Dioxide (which is a third of what a typical heater emits, like the one depicted on the Today Tonight program) this translates to a concentration of 40 - 50 ppb, which is half the WHO guideline. ALL HEATERS HAVE BEEN FITTED WTIH A VENTILATION SAFETY SWITCH The device will automatically shuts off the gas supply if the oxygen level in the room approaches a defined minimum set by the Australian Standard 4553.
The heater will not operate until the living space is properly ventilated and adequate oxygen is introduced, and the pilot is relighted. Note: The levels of emission of a BOWIN Heater are designed to be safe even in worst case situations (tight homes), however as an added precaution it is still advisable to ventilate the room you are heating to promote the removal of and build up in the concentration should you have a gas stove running at the same time as the heater. WHY ARE BOWIN HEATERS SAFER THAN OTHER BRANDS? In the early 1990's BOWIN recognised the need for safer emission levels, and set out to design and develop a revolutionary LO-NOx gas burner, to dramatically reduce ALL oxides of nitrogen, to levels well below the most stringent international target norms. In contrast to other burner designs, which aim to reduce only the NO 2 component (which is part of the TOTAL NOX released), the BOWIN Lo-Noxburner reduces ALL oxides of nitrogen beyond mere compliance. We have a range of international Patents protecting the revolutionary burner design. If you would like to read the patent on this particular application click on the link below.
BOWIN Ultra - Low NOx Burner (on wooden display) PROVEN TESTIMONY BOWIN Lo-Noxgas heaters are specified by the NSW State Supply Service for classroom heating applications. The Government has made a committment to replace all existing 'older style' conventional heaters in Public Schools, with BOWIN Lo-Noxgas heaters. This ensures that our children are being educated in not only a warm classroom environment, but also in a safe classroom environment. BOWI N Lo-Nox burners and Electronic Heater Management Technologies are now proudly adopted in the Government sponsored National Australian technology Showcase, promoting World's Best Technologies around the globe.
DS Bowin Service - Tel (02) 9938-5433. WHAT IS Lo-Nox™? BOWIN has come to grips with air quality issues such as emissions of carbon dioxide and oxides of nitrogen into the atmosphere. These emissions promote the 'greenhouse effect', can cause acid rain and pose various health risks.
NATURAL GAS, as a source of energy and heating, compared with coal fire generated electricity and wood fuels, greatly reduces the release of CO2 and oxides of nitrogen. A MAJOR ADVANCE IN CLEAN AIR GAS HEATING With around 1/5 (over 20%) of the population being affected by some form of respiratory problem, triggered by a multitude of airborn allergens, medical authorities point to nitrogen oxides (NO 2) in unflued gas heater emissions as one of such allergens. Environmentalists (NEPC) and medico's now argue, that the indoor air quality with concentrations of.
. 1 Answer SOURCE: I have a similar problem.
When mixing directly to stereo, it acts as a normal mute. •, is equivalent to setting a fader level of minus infinity. On the MX2004A the MUTE/ALT 3-4 button serves two functions. Behringer mx2004a manual. However, this button also acts as a routing button to the Alt 3-4 outputs. If you want to make your MX2004A a rack mixer, loosen the screws from the side panels and use them to fix the rack ears (note, that there is a left and a right one).
But, I want to convert it to propane. I have a 5 burner vent free modelMN300HPA.
If your are handy. I would consider shipping you the parts inside mine to install in yours.
These parts are very simple to remove after removing the access panels. I have taken mine out already. Called procom then to no less find out the propane parts needed are not sold by them. I think only the injectors (5) the main valve (regulator) and the pilot are the only things need to change.
When taking out the pilot this is easly done, By removing the nut on the supply line. And then bending back the retaining tabs to then slide back the pilot then it comes out of the assembly bracket. Injectors are simply removed.
Regulator located at the bottom is a simple remove. The only other item that might be questionable would be the valve that selects the amount of burners you would like to operate.
And I would think this would be the same and not need removing. Let me know if I can help. I would like to get mine converted to propane. Thanks Tom Posted on Nov 06, 2008. 188 Answers SOURCE: If the clean light flashes 7 times, pauses, then repeats. When the dishwasher doesn't sense a water temperature increase, it will stop working and lock the functions (clean light flashes 7 times, all buttons are non responsive).
It does this as a safety in case the element is broken and feeding electrical current into the water. To resolve this you will have to reset the console. Do this by closing the door and press these buttons in sequence.high temp wash -heated dry -high temp wash -heated dry.all the lights will turn on briefly and the machine will start a diagnostic cycle.
You can press cancel or let the diagnostic cycle finish (1-2 minutes). You should now be able to run the dishwasher as normal. If the issue returns, you could have a problem with the heating circuit (ie. Element, thermostat or wiring). It rarely happens but it could also be the door switch not engaging properly when the door is closed (slightly bend the door latch down making sure it doesn't hit the door when you close it). 431 Answers SOURCE: I think you will find the thermocouple or thermostat has gone this allows the gas valve to open and is a saftey device to stop the escape of dangerous fumes. It looks like a long piece of thin copper wire approx 4mm thick and it extends from the main valve into the pilot light flame. When the ignition is pushed and you hold your finger on it for a while this tells the the valve that the pilot light is lit. Conduction of heat along this pipe then opperates the diaphram in the valve allowing the gas to the burners the pilot light then ignites them.
If the pilot light goes out the unit will nort run. My advice to you is that even though you may be conversant with the heater. They do tend to have all manner of faults occur when left in storage or if shipped ( jostling and bumping ) is to get a trained gas engineer to check it out it may cost a bit. But a gas escape and the following reprocussions are far more exspensive and costly. Also You may not be aware that if you do have an incident your house, insurance may be null and void if no service documents can be raised for the correct servicing of a fixed or mobile gas Convector. I hope this helps Regards Vortash Posted on May 22, 2009. I bet you have an error code stored in the unit.
Try this to retrieve it: Turn the heater off. Hold down on the Economy button as well as the up and down arrows all at the same time for about 3 seconds. Let go and in about 2 seconds a number of lights will light up. I find it easier to have an assistant write down the lights as I call them out. If 60 and LO is displayed, you may have a spider web inside the burner not allowing the unit to light. You will need to remove the front cover and start disassembling the burner. Not an easy task.
You can try and shoot high pressure air down the center exhaust tube but that is a gamble that it will blow the web out of the burner. Nov 02, 2009.
